Living In The Bigger Picture

We all know that God and God alone see and knows the bigger picture for our lives we live. Have you ever experienced having a vision you felt capable of achieving and made every effort to make it a reality, but ended up not in control of where the vision has taken a turn to or has taken you? Do you get made and kick like a baby when things don’t go your way? Or do you seek God through faith and rely on Him to provide for you the direction you need by His grace?
Personally, I’ve experienced all of the above and now I live in a state of humility as a student in an art class I assisted in establishing the curriculum for. In Habakkuk 2:2-3, it’s written, “Write the vision, and make it plan upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
At the time when the establishment of this Art and Design O.J.T. Program was being conducted during 2011 while at Wilcox S.P.. The writing of all the information and research took months to compose. So many thoughts went through my head and gave me the illusion as if I was only in a dream. Where now I can see were only visions for this appointed time at hand, in which I thought couldn’t exist. Although, it appears as if it tarried, it didn’t. I was the biggest stagnation in the vision being fulfilled. God had already provided all that I needed to carry it out, as it was written.
I now can say that, I know this was a God-given vision that I am apart of in 2018, being fulfilled, finally. For my arrival here at this Core Civic ( a private funded Correctional Facility within the Georgia Department of Corrections) in January 2017. Was unexpected, but a blessing to many here at Coffee Correctional Facility, where in the Education Department there was just an Art class with the potential of being wait is today and certifying other inmates.
God-given visions I must say always help others out more than they do you. We on the other hand become more dangerous with our own visions and can stagnate where we’re supposed to be in the vision. In which can only turn our dreams into a nightmare, when it comes down to being disobedient to what God is desiring for you to do with and during the vision being fulfilled.
The enemy on the other hand, knew of my desires and used them to distort me from fulfilling the vision that God had given me. He also gave me a vision of his own and it came from my own desires and will to make matters worst in my own hands. Somewhat like the GEICO commercial with the two penguins following the GPS. I was the one who decided to just, “Follow my instincts!” Instead of following the direction that was given to me by God’s Powered Steering=GPS. The two penguins that were following a GPS in the commercial, had somehow got off on the wrong course and away from all the rest of the penguins that flew north. The instant that the GPS told them to make a turn back right and travel a longer distance this way. One shouted, “That’s it! I’m through with this thing. I’m just going to follow my instinct!” He did as he said in the commercial and left the other penguin standing there and he continue to go the way of the GPS out of faith in it.
What am I trying to say here? The point I’m emphasizing is, “how often do we decide to follow our own instincts in life and fail to follow as Christians, our GPS= GOD’S POWERED STEERING?” We must stay connected to this divine source of leadership and check in as often as possible, inorder to make those right turns in life. As we strive to make the enduring efforts through all that we have left behind. So much is ahead of us to accomplish, and we need God’s divine intervention to conquer all the fears or distractions along the way. That could just jump out at us at times when we fail to check in with Him and ask, “is this you Lord? Is this where you want me to go with this or that?”
Basically, let’s check in with the Lord and stay plugged into our GPS. He’s only trying to guide us north to be with Him, where we rightfully belong now. As we are joint-heirs with Christ and sit at the right hand of the Father~Romans 8:17 Galatians 4:7. “If we then be risen with Christ, let us seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Today and for eternity, let’s set our affection on things above, not on the earth. For we are dead, and our lifes are his with Christ in God.”~ Colossians 3:1-3. As we live in the bigger picture that God has for us to live in and throughout our life each day for His glory! Don’t let the visions He give you be distorted by you desiring to tell your own version of the Gospel, instead of what is already written in His version of Scripture that must be fulfilled.
