Rising Hope Ministries, Inc., is a non-profit religious organization whose purpose is to put into action the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the lives of the lost generation and the forgotten people.
The ministry started within the walls of a prison as God laid this calling on the heart of one of our ministers—to speak to the hopeless mindset of the people within this prison and let them know there is a better way.
In 2017, Rising Hope Ministries became an official organization, as the licensing was paid for with money earned by driving for Uber and Lyft. At first, the ministry only put out a few Facebook posts each day, but after overcoming many roadblocks by the grace of God, we now broadcast this message of hope on all major social media and podcast networks, as well as iHeartRadio. In 2021, we have even more plans of expansion, including adding a television station and a community outreach program, offering real assistance to real people.
Although the platform of communication has changed over the years, the message of Rising Hope Ministries has remained the same: There is hope. You are not a mistake. You are not forgotten. You are loved—by all of us here at Rising Hope Ministries, but more importantly, by God.
We believe in moving beyond the mechanics of religion and pushing forward into a genuine relationship with Christ. What does this mean? It means we do not simply hold worship services on Sunday mornings and Bible studies on Wednesday evenings—we go further than that. We want to make the Word of the Lord accessible every day in every aspect of your life, encouraging you to form a personal relationship with God by getting to know him and his Word for yourself.
The philosophy of Rising Hope Ministries is “Live it, then teach it.” Our ministers teach based on the experiences of their own lives, sharing what God has done in and through them. Our ministers are not perfect—they have made many mistakes in the past—but their honest testimonies have helped shape their doctrine. They understand that they are not better than anyone else but that they are “blessed to be a blessing,” so they take the time to help you overcome the pain of the past with the Word of God. If God has taken a minister out of prison and opened doors that would otherwise be closed, would God not do it for you?
Our mission is to help you develop a meaningful, personal relationship with a living God. In doing so, we will focus on three main areas:
Our first focus will be on hope. No matter what you may have been through, no matter what mistakes you may have made in the past, we want to dare you to hope again. We will remind you of the promises of God and share examples from our own lives of times when these promises have been fulfilled.
Second, we will focus on encouragement. We want to encourage you to continue seeking after God despite the difficulties you might encounter along the way. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting to search for answers, if you walked away from the church in the past, or if you have been following Christ for years—no matter where you are in your journey, we will be here to support you on this path.
Third, we will focus on empowerment. You will not be able to succeed by your own strength; you must learn to rely on God to help you through your struggles. However, you still need to be willing to show up and listen to what God is trying to tell you. We want to empower you to put your faith into action and truly live out what you claim to believe.
Word of God: We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is infallible, written by fallible men. (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 2:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
Son of God: We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God the Father. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 14:33; Luke 1:35; John 1:14; Romans 1:1-5)
Resurrection: We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world, and after three days, he was resurrected with all power. (Luke 24:46-47; Romans 5:6-10; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
Eternal Life: We believe that as followers of Jesus Christ, we have obtained eternal life. (John 5:24; John 11:25-26; Romans 6:23; 1 John 5:11)
Fruit of the Spirit: We believe that followers of Christ should strive to produce and display the fruits of the Spirit at all times. The fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (John 15:5-6; Galatians 5:22-23; 2 Peter 1:5-8)
Trinity: We believe in the triune nature of God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (John 10:30; John 14:6-17; Luke 3:22; 1 Corinthians 8:6)
Salvation: We believe that in order to receive salvation, we must have faith in the one and only living God and in the death and resurrection of his Son Jesus Christ. This is the only path to salvation. We must then confess our sins, repent of our sins, and consistently study the Word of God. (John 3:16-18; John 14:6; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Forgiveness: We believe we can receive forgiveness for our sins. (Psalm 103:10-13; Proverbs 28:13; Matthew 6:14-15; 1 John 1:9)
Prayer: We believe in the power of prayer. (Mark 11:24; Romans 8:26; Philippians 4:6; James 5:16)
Marriage: We believe that marriage between one man and one woman was established by God the Father. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Hebrews 13:4)
