I ask for Your protection as I begin this week. You are my safe haven, and behind Your wings I may always find sanctuary. Keep me safe wherever I go, and keep evil at bay. No matter where I am, I shall turn to You as my Protector, the one who fights for me every day. Your love and fidelity, as well as Your goodness and mercy, surround me on a daily basis, so I will not dread anything may come against me. My faith is in You, God, and I thank You for Your kindness and protection. In Jesus name Amen.

WHAT IS PRAYER?
How to Pray Effectively
To be able to pray effectively, you must first grasp what prayer is. In an essence, Prayers are words that travel to the Lord and then return to the earth. Prayers can take numerous forms, such as bringing God’s promises to fulfillment, removing the impact of evil in a situation, or lifting a burden. These three verses paint a clear picture of what prayer is all about:
(A) 12 As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway.13 At the top of the stairway stood the Lord, and he said, “I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants. Genesis 28:12-13 NLT
(B) 2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done
On earth, as it is in heaven. Luke 11:2 NKJV
(C) 3 Another angel came and stood at the altar with a gold incense bowl, and he was given a large quantity of incense to add to the prayers of all God’s people 4 on the gold altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of God’s people from the hand of the angel before God. 5 Then the angel took the incense bowl, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it down onto the earth; and there followed peals of thunder, voices, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. Revelation 8: 3-5
8 “For I, the Lord, love justice.
I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering
and make an everlasting covenant with them.
